Dear Athletes, We want to thank you for joining us at the 2010 O.C. Duathlon. We were very pleased with the race. The weather co-operated, no one got hurt, the transition area on the Bike Trail worked well, the competition was intense and everyone seemed to be happy after they finished.
Our date for 2011 is SaturdayMay 21st.
Since you already competed in the OC Duathlon we’d like you to consider signing up for both the Sept 19 Pacific Coast Triathlon and the Oct 10 O.C. Triathlon, thus making you eligible for the AquaHydrate OC Tri Series Championship. The fastest combination of times in the 39 & under, 40 & over age groups will receive special awards at the OC Triathlon Awards Ceremony. Sign up for both by printing out the paper application and save $30 on the dual entry (use club code:OCDu2010).
The photos from Opix are now available on our website along with the results:
Again, thanks for participating in the O.C. Duathlon,

REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
The 5th Annual O.C. Duathlon is the 2010 USAT Southwest Regional Duathlon Championship. The race will be held on Saturday May 22nd in Lake Forest, CA. This year's race will be limited to 500 competitors and is part of the Aquahydrate O.C. Triathlon Series Championship In conjunction with the O.C. Duathlon we have added the Saddleback Community 5K. This means family & friends as well as local runners can join in the fun and do the 5K while the Duathlon Bike Portion is in progress. Cost is $25 (Limited to 500).
The race course will consist of a 5 K run, 40K bike & 5 K run. The bike portion will go into Santiago Canyon and then return to Lake Forest. This course is very similar to the Orange County International Triathlon at Lake Mission Viejo; we will use the same bike course and part of the run course of the Duathlon for the OC Tri. The OC Duathlon will start at 7:00am along the Aliso Creek Bike Trail next to El Toro Rd & Marguerite Pkwy. The Saddleback Community 5k will start at 7:40am along the Bike Trail as well. The finish of both the OC Duathlon and Saddleback 5k will be on the bije trail near the transition area.
After hosting the Pacific Coast Triathlon for twelve years and the O.C. International Triathlon for the past two years we have a reputation of putting on a quality event, having been honored by Competitor and Triathlete Magazines as one of the top races in the United States. The pursuit of this excellence is always a guiding purpose for our races and the Orange County Duathlon will be no different.
In addition to the Duathlon race on Saturday we will have the Packet Pick-up on Friday evening from 3-8pm at the Courtyard by Marriott in Foothill Ranch, only about 1 mile from the Duathlon race start. Detailed event information can be found on this site, click here. Discounted rooms are available at the Courtyard by Marriott for $79 a night for the event weekend. Click here to reserve a room.
We hope to see you at the May 22nd, 2010 Orange County Duathlon & Saddleback Community 5k.
